Colorado Horse Rescue or CHR is a non-profit organization, responsible for providing relief, shelter, food, daily care, rehabilitation, medical treatment and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. They also strive to promote prevention of equine abuse through equine education, counseling, information and referral services.
CHR’s goals are:
- To provide shelter, rehabilitation, care and adoption services for surrendered and legally impounded horses, entrusted to our care.
- To facilitate the surrender of horses referred by Animal Control Officers due to owner neglect or abandonment.
- To facilitate the surrender of horses by owners who are no longer able to provide adequate care for their equines.
