    The Epona Project

    The Epona Project is a non-profit organization primarily dedicated to rescue sound horses bound for slaughter and rehabilitate horses who are abandoned, neglected, mistreated, or improperly trained, with a very specialized rehabilitative approach. Their mission is to use natural horsemanship techniques and traditional horse training methods in order to educate horse enthusiasts, as well as to train, rescue, rehabilitate and gentle wild and problem horses. The Epona Project has an efficient group of horse trainers, consultants, riding instructors, sponsors, mentors, ranch management and horse rescue experts who work together to support a holistic program to serve each individual horse, rider and potential owner. They are based in Castle Rock, Colorado.
