    Georgia Equine Rescue League, Ltd. is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping starved, abused and neglected horses in the state. GERL was founded in the year 1993 in order to rescue equines from neglect and abuse and to help rehabilitate them in a safe and friendly environment. The organization has continuously been working towards abolition of neglect and abuse of equines. They also help other groups or individuals in the work of ending equine neglect and abuse, besides having their own Foster and Adoption programs.
